Class Information
  • Ballet:  All levels offered from Creative Movement to Pointe 

A combination of Contemporary and Classical ballet technique, steps & movement

  • Technique:  Encouraged for Level 1 and up **Required for all Senior & Advanced Levels and Assistants

Designed to improve students all-over technical abilities:  turns, leaps, posture, etc...

  • Modern: Junior to Advanced

Variations of Modern technique & abstract styles of movement 

  • Contemporary:  Senior and Advanced Levels only

Mixture of ballet, jazz and modern techniques; utilizing emotion, balance and control 

  • Jazz:  All levels.

Contemporary and traditional Jazz technique 

  • Lyrical:  Junior to Advanced, students must take Ballet or Jazz

Combination of Jazz and Ballet techniques with storytelling elements and musical interpretation through fluid movements 

  • Tap:  All levels.

Tap technique and syncopation 

  • Broadway Jazz (formerly called Musical Theater):  Pre-Level to Advanced.  Pre-requisite of Jazz required

Musical/Broadway style Jazz/Contemporary interpreted through characterization and dance 

  • Hip-Hop: All levels.

Fusion of "Old School", Free Style and Contemporary Hip Hop movement

  • Creative Movement 1:  Creative Movement with ballet (tap add-on if desired) for 2 & 3 year olds
  • Creative Movement 2:  Creative Movement with ballet and tap for 4 year olds
  • Creative Movement 3:  Age 5.  Advanced level of Creative Movement with an intro to Tap and Ballet   
  • Pre-Level:  Ages 6 & 7 - Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz & Broadway Jazz - The more specific introduction of formal training and terminology  
  • Tot Hop:  Hip Hop for the younger crowd!  Ages 3-5 boys and girls *Added onto Ballet/Tap
  • Tot-Jazz:  Jazz for the younger crowd!  Ages 3-5 boys and girls *Added onto Ballet/Tap
  • R&B:  A smoother, more specific style of Hip Hop.  A pre-requisite of Hip Hip is required, Senior Level and Up!
  • Reggae:  A unique style of Hip Hop based on the flow of the Islands

 


Tuition and Fees

LATE FEES:

Any payments received late will be assessed a $10.00 late fee on their following statement for payments made between the 1st and 10th of the month; a $20.00 late fee for payments made more than 10 days late.  Payments made over a month late will be dealt with on a case by case basis.


Registration Fee:  We require a non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 for all students.  The registration fee for a family with two or more students is $35.00.  If you register by RECITAL of this year; please take $5.00 off your registration fee.


Tuition:
  Tuition balances depend on the classes taken and will be datermined at registration.  September tuition is due in full at registration.  Tuition is always due on the FIRST of the month.  For late payments, please see above schedule.  Students that carry overdue balances for more than 30 days risk expulsion.

Costume Deposit:  A $25.00 per class deposit will be due for each student October 1st.  Costume deposits are non-refundable after October 31st.  All costume balances are due by January 1st. No refunds on costume payments.

Returned Checks:  There will be a fee of $25.00 on all returned checks.


Class Placement

Creative Movement 1:  Age 2 & 3

Creative Movement 2:  Age 4

Creative Movement 3:  Age 5

Tot Jazz & Tot Hop:  Ages 3, 4 & 5

Pre-Level:  Ages 6 & 7

Level 1:  Age 8

Level 2 and up:  Age 9 and up

All other classes are placed by ability, not age.  The Director reserves the right to move a student to a different level (up or down) to ensure that the student is in the correct learning environment.  Placement is made with the students best interest in mind.  A student is not always moved to the next level.  Sometimes it is recommended that a student repeat a level.  Please keep in mind that this is very normal in this field of education.  Please note the age of the child is as of December 31st.
