Attendance and Missed Classes

Regular attendance is expected and appreciated.  No refunds will be given to students who miss a class.  Students are allowed to make-up a class in another class with permission from the teacher.  During the months of January to May our attendence policy becomes much more demanding, as we are preparing for our yearly recital.  Students who do not attend regularly (2 or more classes missed in a month) during this time of year may be asked to discontinue with recital plans as their absence affects the entire class.  In addition, when a student does miss a class during this time of year they are required to seek help from a friend or the assistant to learn any missed material. This enables both the students and the teacher to continue moving forward in the next class.

Punctuality

Punctuation is required to assist in injury prevention.  If a student misses a warm-up or is more than 10 minutes late they may be asked to observe the class instead of dance.  This rule is in place to prevent harm to our students.

Snow Days and Cancellations

In the event of a snow storm or other severe inclement weather and you question whether or not classes will be held, please call the Mendon Dance Center after 2:00 p.m. and there will be a recorded message regarding classes.  If it is a morning class in question call before 9:00 a.m.  We will make up classes if time permits, and no refunds will be made.
