Community, Volunteerism, Charities

Starting in 2010, Miss Leslie has selected a charity to fundraise for at each show:
May 2010:  Susan G. Komen for the Cure/3-Day Walk in honor of one of MDC's Moms who was doing the walk
December 2010:  Cystic Fibrosis; in honor of one of MDC's students
June 2011:  American Heart Association; in honor of Miss Leslie's Father and Father-In-Law

Miss Leslie is open to suggestions for charities to donate to, please contact her directly with them.

The LaFlamme family also volunteers for the Special Olympics of Massachusetts annually in Boston on Father's Day Weekend.

GENERAL COSTUME INFORMATION

Creative Movement:  Typically, one costume is required for these classes.

Pre-Level:

Expect individual costumes to be ordered, but whenever possible two-in-one or three-in-one style costumes will be used.

Level 1 and up:

Students and parents should expect one costume per class taken.  We try to keep costs down by reusing costumes (winter show to spring show use) and buying costumes that can be used for more than one dance.

Opening/Finale:

Each year 4 classrd str chosen to perform in the opening, before and after intermission, and the final number.  These classes will have added costumes.

**All Costume Balances are due by January 1st for the Spring Recital and November 15th for the Christmas Show so all costume orders can be placed.  No refunds are made on costume payments.  If a student drops prior to receiving their costume, it then becomes the property of the Mendon Dance Center; no refund will be made.
