Recital Information

Miss Leslie
Leslie LaFlamme, Owner & Director - Leslie graduated with Honor with an Associates Degree in Science concentrating in Business Management from CCRI in Lincoln, RI; and she graduated with High Honor with an Associates Degree in Art concentrating in Dance from Dean College in May 2006.  Leslie began teaching Creative Movement classes in 2000, later expanding her teaching to reach age 7.  She attended workshops at Dance Olympus for three years and Manhatten Dance Project in 2003 & 2004.  Leslie has taken Master Classes at Tap City in NYC (2004, 2005, 2006); attended master seminars with Derrick Grant, Dianne Walker, and Jimmy Slyde; attended DMA seminars and workshops (2007 & 2008), and has recently taken Master Tap Classes with Thelma Goldberg and Derrick Grant.  As a teacher, Leslie hopes to instill a life-long love and appreciation of dance to her students.  She continues her dance education by taking various classes in the MetroWest area, Southern Mass, and New York City. 
Miss Ashley

Ashley LaFlamme, Associate Instructor - Ashley began dancing at the age of 5 and became an Assistant Teacher by the age of 11.  She came to MDC as a student and Assistant Teacher at its inception.  Ashley is a 2009 graduate of Dean College, holding an AA in Dance.  She has taken several classes in a variety of disciplines with a number of Masters, including:  Savion Glover, Jason Samuels Smith, Derrick Grant, Chloe Arnold, and Dianne Walker; as well as attended Dance Olympus, Tap City (2004, 2005, 2006), and Manhattan Dance Project (2003).  Ashley's goal, after completing her education, is to continue to grow as a performer and teacher, and begin her own Tap Company at MDC.  2007 was Ashley's first year as a teacher at MDC; we feel her upbeat attitude and familiarity with the studio and its teachers and students will enhance her success.


Miss Erika

Erika Antonucci, Associate Instructor - Erika received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dean College in the Spring of 2007 as a dance major along with earning an Associates Degree in Business.  She has been a dancer for most of her life and has a passion to teach children of all ages.  Erika believes that all children can reach their full potential of learning provided they have the right dance instructor and environment.  Her creativity, sense of humor and discipline will aid to building a positive relationship with her students.  Erika has taken master classes with several greats, such as Troy Powell (Alvin Ailey), Missy Lay Zimmer & Andrew Hubbard (Planet Dance), and Denise Jefferson (Alvin Ailey).  She was also a very active student while at the college, participating in several performances, including, but not limited to Hip Hop Company (2006), Junior/Senior Performance (2006), Dance Team Performance (2004, 2005, 2006), and Cabaret (2004, 2005, 2006).  Miss Antonucci joined MDC in the Spring of 2008; bringing success to dancers in her classes through learned strategies and techniques from life experience and schooling.
