CLASS ATTIRE GUIDELINES
At Momentum Dance Company, proper dance attire helps dancers feel confident, prepared, and part of the class. It allows instructors to observe proper technique while creating a focused, unified learning environment.
TINY DANCERS, INTRO TO DANCE & BALLET
Leotard Colors

Tiny Dancers & Intro to Dance (Ages 2.5–5): Pink

Junior Classes (Ages 6–9): Burgundy

Pre-Teen & Teen Classes (Ages 10+): Black
Required

Class-color leotard

Pink ballet tights

Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes

Hair secured away from the face (bun preferred when possible)

(Loose-fitting athletic or street-style clothing is welcome)

JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, LYRICAL AND PRAISE & WORSHIP
(Students should wear form-fitting dancewear)

Jazz: Skin-tone slip-on jazz shoes

Contemporary/Lyrical: Bare feet, half soles, lyrical shoes, or jazz shoes (as directed)

Note: While dancewear can be purchased through the studio, it is not required. Any purchases made through the studio help support equipment and updates for the space.
